Artwork Guidelines

Labeling Your Artwork:

To help match e-mailed or hard copy artwork to your order, provide the following information with your artwork:

  • Company Name
  • Contact Name and Phone # (include extension)
  • File Name

Artwork Format:

TDG Forbes uses updated versions of the following graphic programs:

  • Adobe Illustrator CS (Preferred file format)
  • Adobe Photoshop CS
  • Adobe InDesign CS

TDG Forbes will not work with low resolution multi-color jpegs or artwork pulled from the internet. Microsoft Office Programs (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, ect.) are not graphics programs and will not be recognized as acceptable artwork file formats.

Electronic Artwork:

When sending art electronically, please follow these requirements:

  • Art must be black only (no color, shading or grayscale for dies).
  • Color-separated artwork, with PMS colors assigned when applicable.
  • Four color process art much be composed of high (300DPI) resolution images. If you require PMS color matching, specify all PMS colors. Please request a template.
  • All live text must be converted to outlines. If you are including the fonts, they must be True Type.TTF or OpenType.OTF
  • Vector art is preferred.
  • Raster Images (any image composed of pixels) must be at 300 DPI or more, when printed at 100%.
  • Always include a hardcopy if possible.

Although we accept art in many forms and formats, electronic art that follows these guidelines is the best method to ensure speedy and accurate production.

**Please Note: Art should be provided “camera-ready” meaning that is should be high quality and sized correctly for the its intended use. If the TDG Forbes Art Team must manipulate your art in any way, we reserve the right to charge up to $35.00 without notification to the customer. Approval will be obtained for any charges above and beyond the normal charge.

Transferring Large Art Files to TDG Forbes:

Please send art files larger than 9mb from the tdgforbes.wetransfer.com website.  This is an online file transfer system & eliminates the need for any ftp sites.  It is important to note our quote number & your company’s purchase order number in the title or message https://dimensionalgroup.wetransfer.com/areas to ensure that the artwork is linked correctly.

Artwork smaller than 9mb can be send directly via email to art@tdgforbes.com.
