MBO America's Rapidset computerized makeready set-up system, exclusively for use with the Perfection series folding machines, is equipped with automatic imposition and format programming. The computer sets the motorized buckle plates via servo motors and microprocessor electronics. Fold roller settings (paper thickness) and slitter shafts are also given. Accuracy of the automatic settings is [+ or -] 0.1 mm; the sheet stops on all buckle plates can be adjusted gradually from each folding unit as well.

The Rapidset is preprogrammed with 65 of the most common folding impositions, and 250 more can be preprogrammed. The menu control is reportedly easy to understand, so even unskilled operators can run the machine at optimum production levels. Rapidset can be installed on the following MBO folders: K 66, 76 and 820; TS 66 and 72; and T 700 and 800.
