Compact fluorescents ideal for hospitality applications
Hotel & Motel Management

Responding to its hospitality customers' needs, GE Consumer & Industrial continues to invest in technology that creates practical applications of its energy-saving compact fluorescent products.

"Now more than ever, hotel and resort chains have good reason to embrace GE CFLs as a way to cut energy expenditures, reduce maintenance hassles and costs, and increase per-room gross operating profit," says Ron Paduchak, product manager-compact fluorescent.

GE's comprehensive line of ENERGY STAR-approved CFLs offers a solution for every guestroom application, and can cut energy costs by as much as 77 percent over comparable incandescent lamps.

For example:

* GE's 42-watt Spiral[R] CFL is the only 42-watt available and was designed specifically for the hospitality market. It combines the equivalent light output of a 150-watt incandescent lamp with the smallest CFL size. Designed for standard table and floor lamps, it delivers up to 72 percent energy savings.

* Complementing the 42-watt Spiral[R] CFL is the 15/25/32-watt 3-way Spiral[R] CFL, which produces light levels equal to or better than the standards of its 50/100/150-watt three-way incandescent counterpart--at more than 70 percent energy savings.
